FW 190 A-7 'White 9 + ' of Hptm. Alfred Grislawski, Staffelkapitän of 1./J.G. 1, January 1944

This aircraft was flown by one of the more successful Luftwaffe aces, Alfred Grislawski, who shot down 132 enemy aircraft in his combat career. 'White 9 + ' carries two interesting markings, including the Jagdgeschwader 1 emblem, the "Winged 1" carried on the forward fuselage, and the red band aft of the Balkenkreuz - J.G. 1's RV band. A photo of this machine can be seen on page 656 of Prien and Rodeike's history of J.G. 1 and J.G. 11.
